Our pledge v1

Your work is yours. Here's our word on it.

Version v1 - Effective June 13, 2026

You're handing us the most personal thing you make: the process behind your creative work. We don't take that lightly. This is the plain version of what we will and won't do with it. The precise version lives in our Privacy Policy and Terms.

What we will always do

  • You own everything you make. We never claim a shred of it.
  • We never sell your content. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
  • We never share it with third parties, except the handful of vendors that run the Service for us, or when a court genuinely compels us (and we will tell you when we can).
  • We never publish your work or put it on display.
  • Your records are isolated to your account at the database level, so no other customer can read them.

What we do with your content, plainly

We're not going to pretend nobody looks at your data. That would be dishonest, and dishonest is the opposite of what this product is for. Here's the real answer:

  • Our authorized team can view your captured content, including full conversation threads. That is how we support you and keep the assessment honest.
  • We use real content to test and tune how our system reads authorship. This makes the scoring more accurate for everyone.

One distinction matters, and we hold to it: tuning our own system on real data is not the same as training an AI model on your writing. The first keeps our authorship assessment accurate. The second we do not do.

Training AI on your writing: no, unless you say so

We do not use your writing to train AI models. It's off for every account, by default, today. There isn't even a switch to turn it on yet. If we ever offer one (say, free service in exchange for opting in) it will be your clear, separate, reversible choice. And we'll keep a dated record of exactly when you turned it on or off and what you agreed to at the time, so it's never murky.

Until you affirmatively opt in, the answer is simply no.

If we ever change this

If we change how we handle your data in a way that matters, we'll publish the new policy with a fresh version number, and you'll see it and have to accept it before you keep going. No quiet edits. You can export everything and delete everything from your dashboard, any time, for any reason.
